Non-salary benefits as described below are available to all U.S. benefits eligible employees with minor exceptions depending on contractual requirements.

Retirement

Our retirement package* is designed to make your journey to retirement easier. We provide:

  • 8% Company contribution with a standard company match of 100% up to 4% of eligible pay on employee Pre-tax and/or Roth after-tax contributions.

  • Immediate vesting of contributions.

  • 4% profit sharing.

  • Low-fee selections from Vanguard and iShares.

  • Pre-tax, Roth after-tax, and/or traditional after-tax contributions are allowed.

*Retirement benefits are available only to full-time employees.

  • All Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance premiums are 100% covered by Base-2.

  • Medical Insurance: Choose from over 80 gold level plans across four medical insurance carriers for you and your eligible family members.

    • Carriers include: Aetna, Carefirst BCBS, Kaiser, and United Healthcare.

    • All plans are PPO, EPO, POS, HMO, and HSA-compatible.

    • Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts are available.

  • Dental Insurance: Plans cover you and your eligible family members.

    • Carriers include: Carefirst BCBS and National PPO Plan

  • Vision Insurance: Plans cover you and your eligible family members.

Income Protection

Our income protection insurance options help lessen stress, provide support, and help you and your family navigate difficult life events.

  • All Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, AD&D, and Life Insurance premiums are 100% covered by Base-2.

  • Short-Term Disability

    • Earn 60% of weekly earnings

    • $2,000 maximum weekly benefit

    • 13-week benefit period

  • Long-Term Disability

    • Earn 60% of monthly earnings

    • $10,000 maximum monthly benefit

    • Normal retirement age benefit period

  • Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)

    • $100,000 maximum benefit

  • Basic Term Life Insurance

    • $100,000 maximum benefit

Work-Life Balance

We help minimize work-related stress by fostering a stable and sustainable work environment that allows employees to be present in the important moments of life. We allow*:

  • Flexible work schedules, whereby employees can work hours that differ from core company hours.

    • Flex time and compressed work periods available

  • Remote/work-from-home options, relieving employees from the stress of commuting or relocating to accommodate changing work requirements.

*Adjustments to work schedules and locations are contract and project dependent and are subject to change based on evolving customer requirements.

Leave

We know that time off is vital to professional productivity and overall life satisfaction. That’s why Base-2 provides several leave options for the days when life calls you away from work. We offer:

  • Paid time off (PTO): Accrue up to 20 days of PTO for vacation, personal time, and short-term illness.

    • Borrow up to 40 hours of PTO before you accrue it (with company approval).

  • Holidays: Base-2 employees get 11 paid floating holidays each year, including:

    • New Year’s Day
