Kenneth Cortese is Senior Program Manager at Base-2 Solutions, LLC. A boutique SBA-certified woman-owned and operated small business specializing in industry-leading technological and cyber solutions, Base-2 Solutions provides white-glove service and expertise in the areas of Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Big Data, DevSecOps, and Data Analytics to customers including the U.S. Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, the broader U.S. Federal Government, and others.

A senior executive and technical program manager with more than 35 years’ experience, Ken’s IC expertise is centered around systems engineering and software development. Much of his career has been focused on lifecycle development in Agile and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) environments, enterprise system development, network analysis, visualization tools, multilingual applications, information retrieval systems, database design, and cybersecurity.

Ken also brings a strong management background to the table, with 30 years’ experience managing software development and technology programs with a focus on high customer satisfaction, staffing and staff management, technical decisions and design, tracking and implementing deliverables, and financial management including Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting.

Ken holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from Colorado State University and the Johns Hopkins University, respectively.
